The EquestrAsian Sports Association of Maryland is happy to announce that this year we will again be at the Maryland Five Star eventing competition at Fair Hill, in Cecil County. Come join us for a course walk led by our Equestrian Programs Director, Alex Abella!
This year we will not have a tailgating spot, but we will still be offering the course walk on cross country day and explain how Cross Country riders compete. The walk is approximately 1-2 miles long.
When: Oct 21, 2023 from 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM – After the course walk you can enjoy the world’s best riders compete in a 2 miles long course, the day usually ends at around 5:00 PM.
Where: We meet at the main entrance area after you are checked by the gate staff, we will have our volunteers there waiting for you at the Information Tent area. The general address is: 4600 Telegraph Rd, Elkton, MD 21921
Tickets: Please purchase a 5 Star ticket online or onsite. Visit the ticket site and select Saturday Single Day General Admission.
Children: General Admission is free for children ages 10 and under when accompanied by a paid adult.
Course walk registration is free, but please register so we know how many to expect.

From the main entrance, we will move as a group toward the start box where the horses start the competition, and then we will walk some of the course with explanations of what we are to see at each jump. After the course walk, everybody is welcome to enjoy the rest of the competition on their own, and visit all the vendors and food booths. It’s always a wonderful time watching the top horses in the sport complete the most amazing, athletic feats!
